WHAT GOLF IRONS TO GET?! ANY SUGGESTIONS?!?

I am a 9 handicap golfer in need of new irons. I am currently playing with Cleveland CG Reds and they do not allow me to shape the shots the why I would like. I am looking at the Titleist AP2 or Titeist AP1. ANY SUGGESTIONS?!
