Help with burning dvds please!?!?!?!?

k so here i am trying to watch this family guy dvd i burned, and it is all double and kinda faded and blurred. 2nd time it did this. i am using windows dvd maker. and using nexxtech rw 4.7 gb dvds. could it be the file i am burning onto it? cuz they play perfectly on my computer. or could it be that some other things were running while it was encoding and burning? any suggestions and helps will be greatly appreciated. thank you in advance
